JOB OVERVIEW:
Fairly Group, a division of EPIC Insurance Brokers, specializing in risk management and insuring clients in the sports and entertainment industries.
We are seeking a detail-focused individual with prior experience handling transactional documents to join our Risk Consulting team as a Customer Service Specialist. This entry-level role will be part of an internal team responsible for intake, processing and review of injury reports and medical bills on behalf of our clients. This is a key role within our team that requires high attention to detail, accuracy, sense of urgency, and reliable communication skills. This role provides top-notch client support as well as day-to-day support of the team.

LOCATION: Amarillo, TX, in office 5 days a week

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Candidates with strong, professional communication skills - both written and verbal. Ideal candidates can successfully pivot between providing detailed and accurate written communication, as well as picking up the phone and having a detailed verbal conversation.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Candidates who adapt well to priority changes, deadlines, and consistently are quick to respond to/or acknowledge communications (both from internal and external sources).</li>

Knowledge of workers’ compensation’s billing and reimbursement is helpful to have but not required. The team can teach the important aspects of the industry, but ideal candidates will love learning, be a self-starter and enjoy variety in their work.</li>

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):

<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Receive, set up and track injury reports in internal Claim System.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Review medical bills for accuracy and process them efficiently for bill review or negotiation.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Effective and timely communication with all clients – via email and telephone regarding questions about claims submissions, bill status, reimbursement amounts and general inquiries.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work and interface with insurance carrier and third-party administrator claims adjusters as well as other ancillary vendors and medical providers as related to medical billing.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Receive and process physical mail into internal system.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Submit and receive data related to injured worker Medicare eligibility.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Participate in occasional telephonic claim review calls with team members and clients.</li>

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
<ul>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working in a fast-paced, administrative role.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience working with Worker’s’ Compensation claims or billing is highly preferred but not required.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Good problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results to meet timelines.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to be discreet and maintain the security of customer information.</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint</li>

COMPENSATION: 
Compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
