<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">As a Sales Engineering Intern, you will learn how technical products are positioned, demonstrated, and applied to customer systems. You will work with Sales, Field Applications Engineering, Product Applications, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, support technical conversations, organize follow-through, and turn complex product and application information into clear, useful communications.</p>
<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">This is a hands-on opportunity for a current college or graduate student who is excited by customer-facing technical work, AI and cloud infrastructure, and the intersection of engineering and business.</p>
<h2 class="wnfdnti _1ibi0s33y _1ibi0s34u">Key responsibilities</h2>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Build foundational knowledge of Astera Labs products, customers, and connectivity use cases in cloud and AI infrastructure.</p>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Learn how customer architectures, workloads, and system requirements shape product and solution discussions.</p>
</li>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Support preparation for customer meetings, product demonstrations, technical presentations, and architecture reviews.</p>
</li>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Research customer use cases, ecosystem developments, and relevant technologies; synthesize findings for internal stakeholders.</p>
</li>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Prepare technical summaries, presentations, demo materials, meeting notes, and follow-up communications.</p>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Coordinate customer and internal actions, maintain accurate documentation, and track deliverables and next steps through closure.</p>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Help capture customer feedback and route questions or issues to the appropriate Sales, FAE, Product Applications, Engineering, Quality, or Operations partners.</p>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Contribute to cross-functional projects that improve customer readiness, product understanding, or sales execution.</p>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Present an end-of-program project and share what you learned with the broader Astera Labs community.</p>

<h2 class="wnfdnti _1ibi0s33y _1ibi0s34u">Basic qualifications</h2>
<ul class="wnfdntf">
<li class="wnfdnte _1ibi0s33w">
<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.</p>
</li>
<li class="wnfdnte _1ibi0s33w">
<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Foundational understanding of computer systems, hardware, software, or connectivity concepts.</p>
</li>
<li class="wnfdnte _1ibi0s33w">
<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Interest in cloud and AI infrastructure and the ability to learn technical products and customer applications quickly.</p>
</li>
<li class="wnfdnte _1ibi0s33w">
<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.</p>
</li>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Organized, reliable, and comfortable coordinating multiple actions, stakeholders, and deadlines.</p>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Collaborative mindset and interest in working across Sales, Engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams.</p>

<h2 class="wnfdnti _1ibi0s33y _1ibi0s34u">Preferred qualifications</h2>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Familiarity with PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, server architecture, or other data-center connectivity technologies.</p>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Experience with technical presentations, product demonstrations, customer research, or translating technical information for business audiences.</p>

<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">Academic, project, club, or prior internship experience involving technical problem-solving and cross-functional teamwork.</p>

<h2 class="wnfdnti _1ibi0s33y _1ibi0s34u">Internship experience and compensation</h2>
<p class="wnfdntu _1ibi0s3f5 _1ibi0s3ce _1ibi0s3ea">This is a paid, hourly U.S. internship. The applicable hourly rate is determined as part of the offer process and specified in the offer letter, depending on education level ranges form $35/hour to $55/hour. U.S. interns currently receive a $500-per-week housing/relocation stipend for the duration of the internship. Interns participate in Early Career programming, including technical and professional-development sessions, community events, and an end-of-program project presentation.</p>
